Eighteenth century antique print (published 1732?): "The Burning of Rose Allin's hand by Edmund Tyrill" (with 3 guards present) - in the year 1557. Note her father, William, kneeling at the bedside of her dying mother, Alice. (Rose Allin: a Protestant Martyr, from the Great Bentley area of Essex)
