COCORICO was a short lived French magazine appearing between 1898 and 1902, a run of only 63 issues.
Produced by the artist Paul-Émile Boutigny, the journal provided a mix of humorous articles, cartoons, serious art pieces and poetry - all connected by some very fine illustrations created by many of the artists of the Art Nouveau movement in Paris at the time, including Alphonse Mucha and Théophile Steinlen.
This cover example is by Adolphe Cossard (1880-1952) created for issue number 54, published in 1901.
