GENUINE COPPER ENGRAVED ANTIQUE MAP PUBLISHED 1747
Staffordshire by Thomas Kitchin (1718-1784). Perhaps the most famous Georgian British cartographer, Kitchin was both an engraver and publisher. His output was substantial and included county maps, town plans and charts. He was appointed Hydrographer to George III and his work appeared in numerous publications.
This example is from 'The London Magazine' and was published by R Baldwin circa 1747.
