'Cambridgeshire' by Thomas Badeslade (fl 1719-1745). Genuine antique map, copper engraved, published 1742
Principally a surveyor and engineer, Badeslade produced one atlas, the 'Chorographia Britanniae' which was engraved and published by WH Toms in 1742. Subsequent editions appeared in 1743 and 1745. The maps are noted for the left hand column giving interesting information about the county. The maps are sometimes listed as 'Badesdale/Toms' as both names appear below the map.
Measures (plate): 15 cms by 15 cms. Offered unmounted as published.
Condition - good with no visible tears or folds - good margins and nice, aged patina - see photo.
